As part of an ongoing effort to reach out to Westchester residents and listen to what is on their minds, County Executive Robert P. Astorino is hosting a town hall meeting on Wednesday, June 13, from 7 – 8 p.m. at the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem. The meeting will be moderated by North Salem Town Supervisor Warren Lucas.

“Talking with residents face-to-face is important,” said Astorino. “People have a lot on their minds.  I’m looking forward to having a conversation and making sure county government is responding to the concerns of residents.”

Astorino will give an update on the progress his administration is making in delivering on his three major goals: providing tax relief, preserving essential services and promoting economic development.  Residents will then be invited to ask questions on topics such as taxes, pensions, health care, housing, the environment or any other issue they wish to discuss.

Two weeks ago, the county executive hosted his fourth town hall by telephone. The successful “tele” town hall attracted almost 21,000 listeners and drew participants via social media.

North Salem Town Supervisor Warren Lucas said, “We are looking forward to having Mr. Astorino in North Salem. I encourage people to come out and participate.  It’s a great chance to talk directly with the county executive about county issues that affect our town.”
