Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino met with members of the New York State Legislature delegation on Thursday to discuss the Tappan Zee Bridge, pension reform, and the growth of unfunded mandates, among other topics.
Astorino urged the delegation to remain unanimously opposed to a reenactment of the Commuter Tax, and was delighted to learn that the delegation viewed the Commuter Tax as "dead on arrival" in the Legislature.
Those in attendance included Sen. Andrea Stewart-Cousins, 35th District; Sen. Ruth Hassell-Thompson, 36th District; Steve Katz, Assembly District 99; Shelly Mayer, Assembly District 93; Sen. Greg Ball, 40th District; Thomas J. Abinanti, Assembly District 92; and representatives of Sen. Suzi Oppenheimer, 37th District; Sandy Galef, Assembly District 90; Amy Paulin, Assembly District 88; and Robert J. Castelli, Assembly District 89.
