June 7, 2011 -- County Executive Robert P. Astorino Tuesday expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Charlie Brown, the chairman of The Business Council of Westchester and president of C.W. Brown Inc. in Armonk, who died Monday.
"Westchester has lost a true business leader," Astorino said. "Charlie was a visionary, who saw opportunity where others saw none – especially in the emerging arena of green construction. He was a good friend and I will miss him greatly."
Earlier this year, Astorino joined Brown at his new headquarters in Armonk, as he announced receiving LEED Platinum Certification for his green building.
"Charlie beamed with pride as he described the incredibly difficult work that went into receiving such a distinct recognition," Astorino recalled.
