March is designated as American Red Cross Month to recognize local volunteers and donors to give of their time and resources to help community members in need, delivering hope and help during disaster.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “This March, we proudly dedicate American Red Cross Month to honor the selfless individuals who support the Red Cross mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in times of crisis. Their dedication — through donations of time, money, and blood — sustains vital services that strengthen our community. Last year alone, the Red Cross provided over 3,000 essential services to military members, veterans and their families in our region. We are grateful for this extraordinary spirit of compassion and resilience that defines our community and fuels the life-saving work of the American Red Cross."

The partnership we have with Westchester County to help support people experiencing disasters, collect life-saving blood, and support military service members and their families is a tremendous asset to every community. We are grateful to County Executive Ken Jenkins as well as everyone in Westchester County who helps carry out the vital humanitarian work of the Red Cross."
