Garlic Mustard is a biennial herb in the Mustard family (Brassicaceae). First year plants are low rosettes of kidney shaped leaves. Second year plants produce flowering stalks 1-4 feet high that die back by late spring.  Flowers have four petals and occur in small button shaped clusters. Fruits are slender, erect capsules (siliques) and seeds are 2.5-3 mm long, slender and tan to dark.
