Learn about current health-related concerns for county residents

Residents may brig their dogs and cats in for rabies vaccinations free of charge Saturday, Aug. 29.

West Nile Virus is caused by mosquitoes and standing water caused by the recent rains, is a very serious concern.

The Westchester County Health Department is reminding residents to do their part to protect themselves and the community. The most important thing is to get rid of standing water around the house where mosquitoes breed. Read more about the disease and precautions you can take.
