This program was implemented to educate seniors on crime prevention and improve law enforcement's knowledge of the needs of seniors. This is a combined effort of the departments of Public Safety, Consumer and Senior Programs & Services. The purpose of this program is to give seniors information about issues that affect their personal safety and security.
Operation S.A.L.T. is available to speak with community groups throughout the county to share its expertise on issues such as:
- How seniors can protect themselves from being victimized by scam artists
- What seniors can do to become more secure in their home
- What seniors should do if they are a victim of crime
- Any other law enforcement or consumer concerns seniors may have.
