Wear something red and join us for a day of fun for the entire family at Westchester County’s first LGBT Pride celebration at Playland Park on Saturday, Sept. 12  from noon to 9 p.m.
Educators, community leaders, youth workers, parents and students attended a day of learning and making a difference in the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth at the Westchester County Center. Conference materials are now available online.
 
New Hampshire joins Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont as the sixth state to allow same-sex marriage. It appears that because of delays in the New York State Senate, a vote on a bill allowing same-sex marriage will not happen.
Working with the Westchester County Department of Human Resources, the Office of LGBT Affairs has updated the Westchester County Employee Handbook to reflect the county policies that affect employees in Domestic Partnerships. These policies affect both same-sex and opposite-sex couples that have registered as Domestic Partners in Westchester County.
