to get to Great Hunger Memorial Park (formerly known as Woodlands Lake) is only
accessible from the northbound lanes of the Saw Mill River Parkway,
exit 19, approximately ½ mile north of Ardsley. Turn off the parkway
directly into the park. If approaching from the north, take exit 17
(Ashford Avenue Ardsley/Dobbs Ferry). Bear left off exit toward
traffic light and turn left onto Ashford Avenue. Re-enter the Saw Mill
River Parkway northbound by turning right at the next traffic light.
Proceed to park as above. The Great Hunger memorial can also be reached via the South County Trailway by hiking or biking.
